Mary Soden born Sligo 17??,was the sister of Clotworthy and Thomas and daughter of James Soden of Belladevitt,Co. Donegal,Ireland.
She married James Davys and had one son Edmund Soden Davys.
Edmund Soden Davys , though listed in Pigotts Directory of 1820 as a Bank Agent for the Bank of Ireland, married Mary Winterscale in 1823, had a son in 1826, John Winterscale Davys and then emigrated to Dunedin, New Zealand.
There he was a Master Mariner, owned several schooners and traded on the South Seas. He became in later years a Water Works Inspector and died in 1909.His descendants live still today in that part of New Zealand around Dunedin and Otago ,one of whom is Margaret Morgan,Tauranga to whom I am indebted for this information.
