Mary Anne Soden,1st daughter of William (Gardener) and Elizabeth
Coleman 22/8/1823 buried at Clapton,London a/9.
[This may be the William and Elizabeth Soden mentioned in Neta Kellogg Melton's
study of the Iowa branch of the Sodens. Elizabeth and William Soden emigrated to
the United States in 1830
Mary Anne was the first girl but died in 1823. The next girl was also called Mary Anne,
which is a common tradition , and she was born in 1826. This would give the origin of the
Iowa branch to Clapton, London capping the fine work done by Neta Kellogg Melton
